GlobalLogic is looking for a skilled Medical/Technical Writer to create and maintain clear, accurate, and user-focused documentation for our PACS product suite. This role combines strong technical writing skills with knowledge of medical imaging, radiology workflows, and healthcare technology. This is for a contractual role for 6 months.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, or a related field (medical informatics a plus).
• Experience: 3–5 years as a Technical Writer, with at least 2 years in healthcare tech or medical devices.
• Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with radiology systems and standards like PACS, RIS, DICOM, HL7, and IHE.
• Writing Skills: Strong writing, editing, and documentation skills with a focus on clarity and accuracy.
• Technical Skills: Ability to understand complex software and translate it into user-friendly content.
• Tools: Experience with tools like MadCap Flare, Paligo, FrameMaker, Snagit, Visio, Lucidchart, Confluence, and Jira.
• Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, collaborative, and able to manage multiple projects in an Agile environment.

Job responsibilities

• Create and maintain user guides, technical docs, release notes, FAQs, and training materials for PACS products.
• Collaborate with SMEs (product managers, engineers, clinicians) to gather accurate product insights.
• Manage end-to-end documentation lifecycle: planning, writing, publishing, and updating.
• Ensure documentation complies with healthcare standards (HIPAA, DICOM, HL7, IHE).
• Simplify complex clinical workflows into clear content with visuals like flowcharts and diagrams.
• Test documentation usability with QA/support teams and incorporate user feedback.
• Organize content for easy navigation and searchability in the knowledge base.
• Support cross-functional teams by creating/editing training, marketing, and presentation materials.
