The main goal of this Role is to remove legacy code and align CI solutions between different generations of Infotainment products to simplify maintenance by reducing technical debt in CI pipelines.
Working from client office: 3/5days
This role is located within Research and Development at Product and Quality, where you will be a key contributor to the next generation of luxury cars. You will be joining the group that acts as the “software factory” for Infotainment—one of the fastest-growing areas in automotive technology today.
The team focuses on opening the window into the software factory by monitoring and visualizing CI/CD, environments, and products to turn raw data into actionable stories. As a Data Architect, you will work with other teams and architects to build and structure the next generation of CI/CD solutions.
To succeed in this role, the following qualifications are required:
• Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in designing large-scale data or software systems.
• Experience: 5–10 years of experience across software engineering, DevOps/platform engineering, and data engineering, with hands-on exposure to software delivery and production systems.
• Leadership: 2–5 years of experience in technical leadership or architectural roles, leading design decisions across CI/CD, back-end development, engineering data platforms, or data domains.
• Architecture: Proven experience designing and evolving data architectures and data structures that enable scalable, self-service access to engineering and product data for diverse users.
• Modeling: Strong expertise in data modeling and pipeline architecture, including event-driven ingestion, canonical domain modeling, and transformation layers for analytical use.
• Tools: Experience working with CI/CD and observability ecosystems (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK), with the ability to abstract tool-specific data into consistent, tool-agnostic models.
• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to reason about complex systems, trade-offs, and data-driven decision making at scale. Strong communication and collaboration skills to align on data definitions and architectural decisions.
Meritorious Qualifications
• Knowledge of data security, privacy regulations, and compliance standards.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized environments
Lead the engineering data product end to end.
• Define canonical domain models and metric semantics.
• Design scalable, event-driven data architecture.
• Enable observability and feedback loops across the software lifecycle.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and trust.
• Establish data governance, security, and access models.
• Enable self-service analytics and decision making
