Description

This project is part of the SPA3 Boost program at an automotive Nordic OEM, within the Software Factory & Enablers organization. The initiative focuses on modernizing and optimizing Code & Build Flow Automation for next-generation vehicle platforms, improving CI reliability, performance, and scalability. The scope includes build optimization for Android Automotive OS and QNX, Kubernetes-based infrastructure, and cloud-based development environments, aligned with Google Horizon SDV and delivered in close collaboration with internal engineering teams.

Requirements

A highly technical role focused on the engineering of the build process itself. This requires deep, specialized knowledge, hence the requirement for senior-level engineers only. 

Key Competencies:
Build Systems: Deep knowledge of how build systems work under the hood.
Bazel Optimization: Specific expertise in optimizing Bazel builds.
Android Ecosystem: Understanding DevOps within the context of mobile development.
Cloud & Tools: Experience with GCP and Cuttlefish

Job responsibilities

Primary Goal: Optimization of build times and systems (specifically Bazel) with a focus on the user perspective (likely the developer consuming the build).
