Knowledge and skills

  • Fluent Japanese speaker with N2/N1 certification
  • Strong problem solving ability
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge of Agile Development Methodologies, including Scrum and Test Driven Development;
  • The ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced dynamic environment. You have intelligent risk taking tendencies – you are not afraid to fail, but fail fast, and learn from the mistakes making everyone around you better for it;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

 

Education

  • Education to degree level or equivalent
  • ISEB Foundation certificate (desirable)

 

Experience

  • Minimum of 9 years or more working in a software testing role

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Speak with the client in Japanese well while Test Plan making, during various testing cycles like SIT, UAT etc. 
  • Produce test specifications in line with team procedures
  • Execute test specifications against the delivered code and raise issues using Unit4’s fault management tool.
  • Retest issues and update test documentation.
  • Contribute to the sizing of proposed software developments
  • Contribute to the planning and design of the software during sprint planning
  • Provide daily feedback on how the sprint is progressing, raising any impediments
  • Review user help documentation
  • Contribute to continuous improvements to the development processes
  • Assist with training other members of the team
