Bosch eBike | Digital Business is on a daring mission to build the first connected biking platform with an entirely new breed of products and services designed to drive the future of biking. The eBike Flow App is an important companion app for eBikes “powered by Bosch”, providing features like customized riding, theft protection, advanced navigation, and activity tracking for a fast-growing base of several million registered riders
The “Navigation & Activity Tracking” team is end-to-end responsible for these app modules, including the development, operation, and scaling of the related backends.
Requirements
• You have at least 5 years of experience as an Android Developer
• You have a deep and intimate understanding of developing native Android apps with modern tools and frameworks.
o You have a solid background in writing code in Kotlin
o You are familiar with the following: MVVM, SOLID principles, Dependency Injection, Reactive Programming, Rest API, Room, Unit tests, Instrumented tests
o You obtained knowledge on how to write clean and robust code
o Experience with TDD or BDD is a big plus
• You feature a good sense for crafting the perfect user experience and performance
• You have excellent English language skills
• Your approach to problem-solving is pragmatic
• You offer excellent communication skills and understand the importance of team cohesion
Job responsibilities
• Write code that’s readable, well documented, and has meaningful tests
• Build new features and improve the existing codebase
• Collaborate with the whole team and get involved in planning new features, improving existing features, and architectural decisions
• Spend time on getting things done correctly, not quick and dirty
• Development, selection, and integration of new technologies
