Description
Join GlobalLogic, to be a valid part of the team working on a huge software project for the world-class company providing M2M / IoT 4G/5G modules e.g. to the automotive, healthcare and logistics industries. Through our engagement, we contribute to our customer in developing the end-user modules’ firmware, implementing new features, maintaining compatibility with the newest telecommunication and industry standards, as well as performing analysis and estimations of the customer requirements.
Requirements
Core DevOps
Azure infrastructure (VMs, Blob Storage, Front Door) — hands-on, not just theory
Terraform/IaC discipline — reading, writing, and enforcing it against portal drift
Linux system administration — service auto-restart, SSH troubleshooting, VM recovery
Docker & containers — most of RDM runs container-first; comfortable building, tagging, pushing, and debugging a running container across Dev/Tst/Staging/Prod, not just writing a Dockerfile
Backup and DR — knows Azure Backup and Site Recovery, tests restores/failovers rather than assuming they work
CI/CD pipelines — builds and maintains deployment pipelines, promotes releases through environments safely with a rollback plan
Azure DevOps — pipelines, repos, release definitions, service connections; distinct from general Azure infrastructure knowledge
Monitoring & alerting design — resilient pipelines with a fallback channel
Security in practice — handles secrets and least-privilege access, builds security into day-to-day work rather than adding it at the end
Dependency & code-scanning remediation — owns closing down an existing backlog of 500+ flagged security issues across our pipelines, and switching on scanning where it’s installed but unused
Ways of working
Incident communication — clear, fast updates across India/UK/AU time zones, then a short post-incident summary
Documentation — keeps runbooks and change records current, which also helps with ISO 9001 prep for RDM
Jira ticket discipline — clear ownership and resolution notes on every ticket
QA basics
Basic test automation — maintaining a regression suite and running it in the pipeline
Post-deployment checks — catches problems in a lower environment first
Release sign-off evidence — clear defect reports and test evidence
Integrating automation into CI — wiring an existing regression suite into the build pipeline
Basis
A schema change that caused outages for two Customers
A manual Front Door config change resulted in an outage for all Customers
Front Door config drift between the Azure portal and Terraform
A real, current backlog of unaddressed security/dependency scan findings
