Job Title: Technical Sr Product Manager – Telecom Billing, BSS Transformation & GenAI Enablement

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager with deep expertise in Telecom Billing and BSS platforms to drive product strategy, roadmap, and execution for large-scale billing transformation and migration programs. The role involves leading a small team of Product Owners, partnering closely with business and engineering stakeholders, and leveraging GenAI capabilities (including Claude and other AI platforms) to accelerate product discovery, requirements management, analysis, and delivery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Define and own the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for telecom billing platforms, modernization initiatives, and AI-enabled product capabilities.
Lead and mentor a team of 2–3 Product Owners, ensuring strong backlog management, prioritization, and delivery outcomes.
Drive billing transformation, migration, and system conversion programs (legacy to modern platforms), ensuring business continuity and minimal revenue leakage.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, engineering, QA, and operations teams to translate business needs into scalable product capabilities.
Act as the voice of the customer and business for billing use cases including charging, invoicing, revenue management, settlements, and customer lifecycle management.
Define product KPIs, success metrics, and ensure continuous value realization post go-live.
Manage dependencies across BSS/OSS ecosystems and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance requirements.
Support leadership with product insights, business cases, executive presentations, and strategic roadmap planning.
GenAI & Claude Responsibilities
Drive adoption of Generative AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and enterprise AI platforms across product management and delivery functions.
Establish criteria and governance for selecting appropriate GenAI solutions based on business value, security, compliance, accuracy, and scalability requirements.

Leverage Claude and GenAI capabilities for:
Requirements analysis and refinement.
User story and acceptance criteria generation.
Impact analysis for telecom billing and migration initiatives.
Product documentation and knowledge management.
Business process optimization and operational efficiency improvements.
Executive reporting, roadmap communication, and decision-support artifacts.
Partner with engineering teams to identify opportunities for AI-assisted development, testing, migration validation, and operational monitoring.
Define and track AI adoption KPIs, productivity improvements, quality metrics, and business outcomes.
Evaluate emerging GenAI technologies and recommend adoption strategies aligned with enterprise objectives.

Required Skills & Experience
15+ years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, or Product Ownership within Telecom/BSS domains.
Strong hands-on experience in Telecom Billing systems, billing modernization, migration/conversion programs, and large-scale transformations.
Proven experience in defining product vision, roadmap, and strategy for complex enterprise products.
Experience leading and mentoring small product teams (2–3 Product Owners).
Strong understanding of end-to-end order-to-cash, rating, charging, invoicing, collections, and revenue assurance processes.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage business, technology, and leadership teams.
Experience working in Agile / SAFe product delivery environments.
Hands-on experience using Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar GenAI tools to improve product management effectiveness and delivery efficiency.
Strong understanding of AI governance, responsible AI practices, prompt engineering, and enterprise adoption considerations.
Preferred Qualifications
Ex-Amdocs or Amdocs product experience highly preferred.
Exposure to large telecom transformations, cloud-based billing modernization, or BSS re-architecture programs.
Experience working with Tier-1 telecom operators or large system integrators.
Experience leading AI transformation initiatives within product or delivery organizations.
Knowledge of AI-assisted SDLC, test automation, and business process automation frameworks.

Product strategy, roadmap ownership, and transformation leadership experience.
Experience managing migration/conversion programs and large-scale enterprise initiatives.
Leadership capabilities in mentoring Product Owners and managing cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated practical use of Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or equivalent GenAI platforms in product management and delivery.
Ability to identify, prioritize, and implement GenAI use cases that deliver measurable business value.
Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
Experience balancing innovation, governance, risk, and compliance in AI-enabled environments.
