Exciting new project in public transport and urban modelling is seeking a skilled professional NVIDIA Omniverse Isaac Sim Developer
We are hiring an Isaac Sim developer to build and scale simulation workflows for robotics and sensor-based autonomy. You will develop high-quality simulation scenes and pipelines in Isaac Sim (5.x), integrate ROS 2, configure and validate RTX sensors (LiDAR, radar, cameras), and automate dataset generation with Replicator. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on production-ready code, robust debugging, and reusable components.
Responsibilities
• Develop Isaac Sim applications using Python and SimulationApp (interactive and headless).
• Build and debug OmniGraph pipelines (sensor creation, rendering, ROS 2 publishing, triggers/ticks).
• Configure and validate RTX sensors (cameras, LiDAR, radar) including realistic settings and outputs.
• Integrate with ROS2 .
• Generate synthetic datasets using Replicator (randomization, writers, annotations, automation).
• Work with USD assets and stages (composition, transforms, materials, sensor prim placement, scene organization).
• Optimize performance (render settings, throughput, headless runs, GPU/CPU bottleneck triage).
• Deliver clean, documented, reproducible code and configuration files.
Required Skills
• Strong Python engineering skills (architecture, debugging, packaging, CLI tools, logging).
• Hands-on NVIDIA Omniverse Isaac Sim experience (ideally Isaac Sim 5.x).
• ROS 2 experience (rclpy, TF, RViz2 debugging, sensor message types).
• Working knowledge of OmniGraph and Isaac Sim sensor / rendering nodes (render products, camera helpers, ROS 2 bridge).
• Comfort with 3D math (coordinate frames, transforms, quaternions).
• Understanding of USD concepts (prims, references/layers, xformOps, materials).
• Linux proficiency (shell basics, environment management, troubleshooting runtime issues).
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
• Replicator at scale: annotators, writers, randomizers, multi-sensor synchronized capture.
• RTX LiDAR and radar specifics (scan patterns, noise models, point cloud fields such as intensity/timestamping).
• Performance profiling in Omniverse/Kit and practical optimization strategies.
• Experience building reusable simulation frameworks for multiple scenarios/environments.
• Robotics simulation best practices (calibration, sensor placement, validation against ground truth).
• CI/CD or containerized workflows for Isaac Sim (Docker, headless pipelines, regression tests).
What Success Looks Like (First 30–60 Days)
• Deliver a working pipeline that loads scenes, spawns sensors reliably, and runs both GUI and headless.
• Publish correct ROS 2 topics with consistent TF frames; RViz2 visualization works without transform issues.
• Provide reproducible sensor configurations and dataset-generation scripts for agreed scenarios.
• Ship clear documentation and examples for extending scenarios and adding sensors.
• Develop Isaac Sim applications using Python and SimulationApp (interactive and headless).
