Our client is innovative manufacturer of medical devices in the United States which produces a devices and software applications.

At this project, you will have a great opportunity to be involved into the full development life cycle of medical software which is intended to help individuals by processing certain information taken from medical devices to identify health trends and to track daily activities.

Requirements

– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communication, or a related field

– 5+ years of experience as a technical writer or documentation specialist in a regulated industry (medical device experience preferred)

– Strong understanding of software and system design concepts; able to interpret code and developer discussions to accurately describe functionality

– Familiarity with document control processes and electronic document management systems (MasterControl experience preferred)

– Experience authoring or maintaining design documentation in compliance with FDA design control requirements (e.g., requirements, design descriptions, risk management traceability; IEC-62304 experience preferred)

– Excellent written English and attention to detail in formatting, consistency, and clarity

– Proficient with collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Teams)

– Organized, disciplined, and proactive communicator capable of managing multiple document workflows

– Familiarity with embedded systems, firmware, or test tool development is a plus

Job responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically adept technical writer to support documentation activities for an IoT medical device that detects cardiac arrhythmias.

The role includes:

– Authoring and maintaining engineering documentation such as design documents, software and firmware architecture descriptions, and requirements specifications

– Collaborating with offshore developers and U.S.-based engineering, quality, and other teams to ensure documentation accurately reflects the implemented designs and complies with company and regulatory standards

– Interpreting code, Jira tickets, and developer input to derive or update content in engineering and design documents

– Using MasterControl to create document packets, route documents for review and approval, and manage version control throughout the document lifecycle

– Reviewing existing examples of design documentation and adapting templates and structure to new or updated projects
