Description

The collaboration between GlobalLogic and Japanese Client around a number of projects in the area of high-tech, industrial automation, GenAI solutions and more. 

Requirements

GlobalLogic is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery over different projects with our industrial clients in Connected Industries area. You will oversee multiple engineering projects, managing a talented group of over 30+ professionals across various teams and locations.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with exceptional delivery management expertise who can drive complex projects from concept to completion in both Fix Price or T&M setups. This role requires a strategic thinker who not only manages day-to-day execution but also actively identifies opportunities for improvement, develops compelling proposals, and partners with the client to foster continuous growth and innovation.

As a key liaison between GlobalLogic and Client project & program stakeholders, you will be responsible for governance, clear communication, and ensuring strategic alignment. Your ability to navigate complex technical discussions, mitigate risks, and inspire your teams will be critical to scaling our collaboration and delivering outstanding results.

 

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Delivery Ownership: Lead the entire delivery lifecycle for multiple project streams, ensuring milestones are met, quality standards are exceeded, and business objectives are achieved for a team of 30+ professionals.
  • Client Partnership & Governance: Act as one of the key points of contact for client stakeholders. Establish and maintain robust governance structures that ensure transparency, build trust, and facilitate effective escalation management.
  • High-level Technical Leadership: Leverage existing knowledge and background in software development project to guide overview, understand and govern technical discussions, understand architectures, and ensure engineering deliverables are tightly aligned with client goals. Support Translate business needs into clear technical priorities for your teams.
  • Strategic Growth & Improvement: Proactively identify inefficiencies and opportunities for process or technical optimization. Develop and present structured improvement proposals to client management, driving the long-term growth and scalability of the engagement.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Implement swift corrective actions to prevent delays and ensure the highest quality outcomes.
  • Team Empowerment & Mentorship: Foster a high-performance culture of accountability and ownership. Mentor, motivate, and guide cross-functional teams to unlock their full potential.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Deliver clear, impactful presentations and progress reports to senior stakeholders at both GlobalLogic and Client. Masterfully articulate technical concepts, project status, and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven Project Management Experience: Demonstrated success in managing technical projects and leading engineering teams in a client-facing role.
  • Strong Technical Foundation: Solid background in software development processes, systems engineering, or a related field. Ability to grasp technical architecture, cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure, GCP, AWS), and modern development lifecycles.
  • Agile & DevOps Expertise: Deep experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring high standards for code quality.
  • Exceptional Communication & Presentation Skills: Proven ability to build strong relationships, negotiate effectively, and present complex information clearly and persuasively to management-level audiences.
  • Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Ability to see the bigger picture, connect technical execution to business value, and build a foundation for long-term project success.
  • Proactive & Hands-On Mentality: A leader who is deeply engaged in the details of project execution and is committed to driving results.
  • Commercial: A proven experiance in managing Fix Bid/Price projects, establishing progres/timelines, budget and quality tracking withing set KPIs.

Will be a stong plus:

  • Industrial Domain Experience: Proven experience delivering projects in industrial sectors such as manufacturing, factory automation, or shop floor environments (IT/OT convergence).
  • Industrial Data Platforms: Hands-on experience with industrial data platforms and understanding their unique challenges and opportunities.
  • AI & GenAI Implementation: Knowledge of AI and Generative AI concepts with experience implementing value-driven AI solutions in a commercial environment.

    Occasional business trips may be necessary.
