Description
We are looking for an Embedded Software Tester to join our team working with base software in suspension domain. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying and validating embedded software functionality, ensuring quality, robustness, and compliance with automotive standards and project requirements. You will work closely with software developers, system engineers, safety engineers, and other stakeholders to define, execute, and automate test activities for embedded software running in real-time systems.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience in embedded software testing or embedded software development with strong testing responsibilities
- At least 5 years of experience in real-time embedded systems
- Experience from the automotive industry
- Experience working with AUTOSAR architecture
- Good knowledge of automotive communication protocols, such as: CAN, Automotive Ethernet
- Good knowledge of UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services)
- Hands-on experience with Vector tools, such as: CANoe, CANalyzer, vTESTstudio/VTEST
- Experience in Python, CAPL, or scripting languages used for test automation
- Experience with requirement-based testing, integration testing, and system testing
- Experience with HIL systems and real-time simulation
- Experience in test design, test execution, defect reporting, and test automation
- Good understanding of low-level protocols and firmware interfaces, such as: SPI, UART, PWM, DIO, PSI5
- Knowledge of system safety implementation in compliance with ISO 26262 and cyber security standards in automotive
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Good communication skills and ability to proactively initiate communication when needed

Job responsibilities
- Work in our in-house software team responsible for the Suspension System, covering both the Suspension ECU (SUM) and the Central ECU of the vehicle
- Design, develop, and automate test cases for embedded software and system functions
- Verify software functionality, interfaces, diagnostics, and communication behaviors
- Perform testing in HIL environments, simulation environments, and on target hardware when applicable
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and support root cause analysis together with developers and system engineers
- Validate software behavior for middleware, low-level drivers, diagnostics, and communication protocols
- Contribute to test automation and continuous improvement of test methods, tools, and processes
- Collaborate closely with developers, test engineers, system engineers, and safety engineers
- Support cross-functional tasks depending on project needs
- Ensure software verification activities are aligned with quality, safety, and cybersecurity requirements
