Seeking a highly specialized Solution Architect (VLM/VLA Systems) to design and optimize advanced Vision-Language Models for real-time (10 FPS) multimodal inference on customers’ automotive hardware. Requires deep expertise in accelerated computing, quantization, and systems-level performance optimization.

Requirements

Key Skills:

• Accelerated Computing Architecture: Deep understanding of the execution stack on high-performance automotive SoCs, specifically the interplay between memory hierarchy, NPUs, and GPUs.
• Transformer Performance Dynamics: Expert knowledge of the compute and memory bottlenecks inherent in Large Multimodal Models.
• Quantization & Optimization Logic: Proven ability to lead selection of model compression strategies (pruning, distillation, or quantization) based on accuracy-performance trade-offs.
• Systems Engineering for PoCs: Experience leading rapid prototyping teams where the priority is “Time-to-Inference” and stable performance under load.
• Strategic Technical Communication: Ability to communicate complex hardware-aware AI challenges clearly to both engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Job responsibilities

Focus: Architectural orchestration and performance-driven delivery of vision-language models on advanced automotive hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execution Pipeline Orchestration: Design the technical flow from multi-camera data ingest through the vision encoder to the action head, optimizing for zero-copy memory transfers and balanced NPU/GPU utilization.
• Performance KPI Roadmapping: Define the technical path to hit the 10 FPS target, making strategic decisions on precision levels and hardware-accelerated preprocessing.
• Risk & Feasibility Governance: Lead the “Go/No-Go” technical gate by identifying architectural blockers in the model graph and determining the most efficient path for custom kernel implementation.
• Hardware-Software Synthesis: Align the efforts of the Platform Engineer and the Performance Engineer to ensure the software stack is fully tuned to the specific hardware architecture.
• Technical Strategy for Customer: Translate hardware-level constraints (e.g., thermal limits or memory bandwidth) into actionable technical reports and decision frameworks for client stakeholders.
