Description
An international team is developing and testing a robotic surgical platform. We are looking for a Mid-level Test Engineer who will own a module/subsystem, plan testing activities, improve coverage and contribute to test automation.
Requirements
Must have:
- 2–4 years of experience in software testing (ideally complex systems: embedded, medical, automotive, robotics, etc.).
- Solid knowledge of test design techniques, test types and software development life cycle.
- Hands-on experience with Jira / Confluence or similar tools.
- Practical experience in creating and maintaining test cases and test plans.
- Basic hands-on experience with test automation (Python).
- Understanding of CI/CD processes (GitLab CI, Jenkins or similar).
- English at B1–B2 level or higher (calls, demos, communication with the customer).
Nice to have:
- Experience in medical projects and understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g. IEC 62304, ISO 13485).
- Experience testing robotics, motion control systems, drive systems or vision systems.
- Experience with Linux, Docker or virtualisation.
- Experience with real-time systems (e.g. QNX) and robotics middleware (e.g. ROS2) will be a strong plus.
Job responsibilities
- Plan and execute functional, regression, integration and system testing of software and firmware.
- Analyse requirements, design and maintain test cases, test plans and checklists.
- Log, prioritise and track defects in Jira; participate in bug reviews.
- Collaborate with developers, system engineers, safety and quality teams.
- Support preparation of test setups and test data.
- Contribute to test automation (UI/integration/system tests – depending on the area).
- The candidate should be able not only to write automated tests, but also to actively contribute to the development and improvement of the test automation framework.
- Estimate testing efforts and participate in sprint planning.
