Requirements
- You’re a proactive problem‑solver with a strong technical background.
- Comfortable working with vague or evolving requirements and capable of transforming manual test cases into scalable, automated solutions.
- You thrive when working with physical test setups — such as Box Cars and HIL rigs — and have experience with low-level technical domains (e.g. embedded / base‑tech features).
- You care about product quality, performance, and reliability across the entire development lifecycle.
Job responsibilities
Test Execution & Defect Management
- Execute a variety of tests: functional, exploratory, regression (diagnostics, communication, etc.).
- Analyze test results, document summary reports, and identify root causes of failures (distinguishing between product defects and rig/environmental issues).
- Create and manage detailed fault reports and bug tickets for identified defects.
Test Setup Maintenance & HIL / Box Car Operations
- Maintain and operate complex test setups (Box Cars and HIL — hardware‑in‑the‑loop rigs).
- Prepare test objects (vehicles / rigs), ensuring correct hardware and software baselines are installed and configured.
- Perform hardware upgrades and technical maintenance in cooperation with engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test rigs or environment (invalid hardware versions, connection issues, etc.) and implement corrective actions.
Test Automation & Development
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve test efficiency and coverage — especially for repetitive and complex cases.
- Identify, propose, and implement automation work‑packages to continuously increase automation in our test process.
- Work with data from logs generated by automation and rig environments (e.g. using Python, CAPL, and/or C#).
