Description
We are seeking an experienced Telecom Systems Engineer to join our technical operations team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of telecom network operations, provisioning systems, and emerging technologies like 5G. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, technical expertise across multiple telecom platforms, and excellent collaboration skills.
GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed in Bellevue, WA is $70000 to $100000 and reflects base salary only. This pay range is provided as a good faith estimate and the amount offered may be higher or lower. Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications or related field
• 5+ years of experience in telecommunications industry with focus on systems engineering
• Strong knowledge of 4G LTE, VoLTE platforms, and understanding of 5G network architecture
• Experience with network provisioning engines and subscriber administration
• Proficiency in protocol analysis using tools like Wireshark
• Knowledge of telecom protocols including DIAMETER, GTP-C, GTP-U, TCP/IP
• Experience with API testing using tools like POSTMAN and SOAPUI
• Understanding of database systems including Oracle and SQL
• Familiarity with interfaces such as SOAP, REST, JSON, XML
• Experience with defect management and timely issue resolution
• Ability to create and analyze technical documentation
Job responsibilities
• Provide technical support for network provisioning engines, USD applications, identity and access management systems, and message applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within telecom network elements and associated platforms
• Collaborate with engineering teams to address IT defects and implement improvement strategies
• Support pre-provisioning and data loading activities in network elements
• Perform testing and validation for new features, offers, and system upgrades
• Analyze CDRs/UDRs/BIRs and perform trace analysis for issue resolution
• Gather requirements for environment and data setup to support testing initiatives
• Execute Method of Procedure (MOP) implementations for new business requirements
• Configure and administer subscriber data across various platforms
• Generate and deliver regular performance reports with qualitative and quantitative metrics
• Participate in UAT and integration testing for new products and services
• Work with SMEs to coordinate end-to-end troubleshooting for complex issues
