Description

We are seeking a senior specialist consultant to lead the conceptual and advisory phase for our Client’s global Chemical Compliance and Volume Tracking initiatives.

Core Focus: Deep domain expertise in chemical regulations (REACH/ECHA/CAS) combined with strong client-facing advisory skills is critical for this role. The project centers on guiding the Client through translating complex chemical compliance standards into a robust, scalable data architecture and reporting solution across their SAP landscape.

Requirements

As a Client-Facing Business Analyst for Chemical Compliance, you will serve as the trusted advisor bridging the gap between our Client’s regulatory EHS requirements and SAP enterprise solutions. We require a candidate with a strong, proven background in chemical substance management, capable of interpreting REACH/ECHA rules for the Client and converting them into actionable functional concepts, data models, and target architectures using SAP S/4HANA, SAP EHS/Product Compliance, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

Primary Focus – Chemical Compliance Expertise: Proven track record as a REACH/ECHA Compliance Consultant with deep knowledge of substance management, CAS registry systems, and chemical volume threshold monitoring.

  • Client-Facing Consulting Skills: Experience in client advisory roles, with the ability to lead conceptual workshops, manage Client expectations, and deliver strategic roadmaps during the initial scoping phase.
  • SAP Enterprise Reporting Know-How: Strong practical experience with SAP S/4HANA and reporting via SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SAP BW/4HANA.
  • SAP EHS / Product Compliance: Hands-on experience with SAP EHS or SAP Product Compliance modules is a significant plus.
  • Consultative Approach: Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to lead high-level conceptual design and regulatory strategy prior to technical execution.

Job responsibilities

  • Client Advisory & Chemical Regulatory Analysis: Lead in-depth discussions with the Client’s regulatory teams to analyze REACH/ECHA regulations, CAS classifications, and substance tracking requirements, converting them into domain-specific business rules.
  • Chemical Volume Reporting Design: Architect the conceptual end-to-end framework for the Client’s Chemical Volume Reporting, ensuring precise monitoring of imported, manufactured, and distributed chemical substances across tonnage bands.
  • Substance Data Mapping & Integration: Identify, consolidate, and validate chemical master data, CAS numbers, and relevant transactional data across the Client’s SAP S/4HANA and SAP BW/4HANA environments.
  • Target Architecture for Compliance: Define the target compliance architecture for the Client, combining SAP S/4HANA, SAC, and specialized SAP EHS / Product Compliance modules.
  • Implementation Blueprinting: Develop comprehensive functional blueprints, reporting specifications, and compliance control workflows tailored to the Client’s REACH/ECHA audits and reporting obligations.
  • Domain Advisory & Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) on chemical regulations, facilitating alignment between the Client’s EHS/Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and IT teams during this initial advisory/conceptual phase.
