Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Lead Automation QA Engineer with 7+ years of experience to drive quality engineering practices across our data and application platforms. This role requires a strong technical leader who actively contributes to coding, owns automation frameworks, and ensures high-quality deliverables through robust testing strategies.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in QA/Automation Testing.
3+ years of experience in a lead role, managing and mentoring teams of at least 4 members.
Strong hands-on expertise in automation scripting and frameworks (Python, Java, or similar).
Proven experience in building or re-architecting automation frameworks from the ground up.
Solid experience with regression testing, test planning, and QA sign-offs.
Experience working with modern data stacks (DBT, Snowflake, etc.) and understanding of data quality testing.
Proficiency in Git-based version control systems (GitHub, GitLab, or similar).
Experience with code reviews, ensuring high engineering standards across QA deliverables.
Familiarity with modern IDEs (VS Code, PyCharm) and productivity tools.

Job responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of 4+ QA engineers, providing technical guidance and ensuring best practices.
Actively participate in hands-on coding, code reviews, and test automation development.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks from scratch or significantly enhance existing ones.
Own end-to-end test strategy, including test planning, regression testing, and QA sign-offs.
Collaborate closely with data and engineering teams working with tools like DBT, Snowflake, and Power BI.
Implement and maintain data quality and validation frameworks, including DBT testing (unit tests, schema tests, and data validation).
Ensure strong CI/CD integration for automated testing pipelines and release processes.
Perform detailed data reconciliation and validation testing across pipelines.
Actively participate in source control management (Git-based systems like GitHub/GitLab), including branching strategies and PR reviews.
Review and approve test code to ensure quality, scalability, and maintainability.
