About GlobalLogic and the EMEA Legal Team
As GlobalLogic continues expanding our business, we are now looking for an experienced legal counsel to join our Legal EMEA team.
The team provides legal support for our offices in 10 countries of the region: Croatia, Germany, Israel, Ireland, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.

Requirements

Qualifications & experience
Education: Required masters of law in Poland. Additional license to practice law or a law degree in another EU country, preferably Romania, Slovakia or Sweden is welcome.
Experience:
Required minimum 8 years of total professional legal experience. Must possess law firm experience.
Preferred: Experience as an in-house lawyer, preferably within a multinational corporation; working for IT companies; working with a geographically dispersed team.
Expertise: Strong expertise in employment law is a must. Legal generalist experience is welcome.
Language requirements: Full professional proficiency (spoken and written) in English. The EMEA Legal Team operates almost exclusively in English. Fluency in other European languages is a plus, preferably Polish, Slovak, Croatian, Romanian, or Swedish is welcome.
Location: Based in Poland.

Job responsibilities

The Role
The successful candidate will be a critical contributor to the legal function in the whole region, providing comprehensive legal advice and support across a variety of regional legal matters, with a particular emphasis on employment law.
This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with both the EMEA and global legal teams, as well as with various business stakeholders around the globe.
Key Responsibilities
Legal advisory: Providing timely and high-quality legal support to other departments, reviewing complex legal queries, and offering clear, actionable legal recommendations.
Employment law focus: Serving as the go-to expert for employment law matters in the region.
Compliance & risk management: Ensuring compliance with applicable national and international laws and regulations. Tracking changes in relevant legislation.
Documentation & policy development: Drafting, reviewing, and developing internal policies, procedures, and other legal documents to support business operations and maintain compliance.
External counsel management: Cooperating with external legal counsels across the region.
Global collaboration: Carrying out other tasks to support colleagues within the global legal team as required, fostering a collaborative, worldwide legal function.
