Requirements

Must Have:
– 5 + years embedded C on ARM MCUs
– UART / SPI / I²C / GPIO integration
– RTOS (FreeRTOS or CMSIS-RTOS)
– IAR Workbench / SWD debugging
– Secure Boot concepts (hash + signature verify)
– NAND / Flash data management
– Git / branching / code review workflow

Nice to Have:
– Cellular modems (u-blox SARA-R4 / R5)
– OTA update flow experience
– AES / HMAC cryptography libraries (mbedTLS)
– Python for testing and firmware tools
– FDA / IEC 62304 development environment experience

Job responsibilities

• Implement and maintain embedded firmware for medical devices under guidance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support software development processes.
• Participate in code reviews to learn best practices and improve code quality.
• Contribute under guidance to the documentation of firmware specifications.
• Observe and learn from senior engineers during the debugging and testing phases.
• Support the integration of security features in embedded systems.
• Help in the analysis of system performance and suggest improvements.
• Assist in the development of test plans for firmware validation.
• Learn about industry standards and regulations applicable to medical devices.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and challenges.
