Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Release Manager, Release Coordinator, Project Manager, or Business Analyst within a software development environment.
- Release Orchestration: Proven track record of managing end-to-end recurring feature releases across cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, QA, Tech Writing).
- Tooling Proficiency:
- Hands-on experience with LaunchDarkly (or similar feature flag management platforms) for access controls, feature rollouts, and tool configuration standards.
- Strong proficiency with Jira for tracking release scope, dependencies, and issues.
- Experience or familiarity with AI-assisted tools (such as Claude) for information verification and process automation.
- Process & Governance: Strong experience enforcing process guidelines, managing release calendars, and resolving cross-team dependencies and risks.
- Soft Skills & Competencies
- Clear Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to deliver recurring updates and keep stakeholders aligned when release scopes modify.
- Process Rigor: Strong organizational skills with a passion for building repeatable, structured workflows out of complex processes.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, QA, and Technical Writers, balancing diplomatic alignment with firm process enforcement.
- Problem Solving: Proactive mindset to identify technical or business bottlenecks early and resolve or escalate them efficiently.
Job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Release Process Ownership
- Act as the main coordinator for the recurring feature release process across Product Managers, Engineering, and Tech Writer, ensuring customers receive timely, accurate features.
- Partner and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure we deliver on a predictable schedule ; resolve or escalate impediments or misalignments to ensure we deliver quality value to customers
- Own the release calendar, artifacts, and communications, driving awareness of process, key dates, and checkpoints across Product & Engineering.
- Identify and resolve technical and business dependencies and risks impacting each release.
- Partner with the Release Lead to continuously improve the release process and tool delivery methodologies.
Tooling & Feature Flag Management
- Serve as the subject-matter expert on the release process and LaunchDarkly, acting as the main point of contact for release-related inquiries from Product & Engineering.
- Independently use LaunchDarkly, Jira, and Claude to verify information for early release requests and manage access controls.
- Proactively manage the scope of each release and ensure tool configuration standards are adhered to.
- Provide support to Product Managers and other stakeholders to ensure they understand and follow process and tool requirements.
- Coordinate with Tech Writing and QA whenever the scope of a release is modified, ensuring stakeholders are informed and aligned.
Communication & Governance
- Collaborate with Engineers and internal stakeholders to deliver on our values of customer obsession and constant innovation.
- Provide recurring updates on release activities to key stakeholders.
- Enforce process guidelines and tool standards across teams.
