Description
We are looking for an SAP ABAP Developer Trainee to join our team in Krakow and contribute to the development of a large-scale SAP solution.
Our project is a large and complex rental system for corporate clients operating on a global scale. We work with major construction companies, and the platform includes multiple mission-critical components supporting tool rental operations worldwide.
The team has been working in close collaboration with the client for the past eight years, supporting the IT infrastructure responsible for global tool rental operations for a leading provider based in Switzerland. Our work involves the SAP platform and Java-based microservices.
Requirements
- Foundational knowledge of SAP ABAP (coursework, certification, internship, or self-study; commercial project experience is not required)
- Understanding of core ABAP concepts, including the Data Dictionary, internal tables, reports, and basic debugging
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming (OOP) in ABAP is a plus, but not required
- Fluent English, both written and spoken, as you will communicate directly with clients and participate in meetings conducted in English
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, ask clarifying questions, and participate confidently in discussions
- Strong learning agility, demonstrated by the ability to quickly acquire new technical knowledge through coursework, personal projects, or other relevant experience
- Comfort working in an environment with ambiguity and a fast-paced onboarding process
- Team-oriented mindset, proactive attitude, and willingness to take ownership early
Nice to Have
- Experience with public speaking, client-facing roles, or presentations, including experience outside of IT
- Basic understanding of business process analysis or requirements gathering
Job responsibilities
As an SAP ABAP Developer Trainee, you will work alongside experienced developers on real SAP solutions while building your technical and professional skills. You will participate in developing and maintaining SAP applications, support enhancements and bug fixes, and gradually take ownership of development tasks.
You will collaborate with developers, consultants, and business stakeholders, gaining experience in an international environment where communication is just as important as technical expertise.
Upon successfully completing the trainee program, you will have the opportunity to join a project and work with modern SAP technologies such as Fiori, RAP, CDS, and other latest SAP development frameworks, while continuing to grow with the support of an experienced team.
