Description

Global Logic is looking to add a Technical Delivery Manager for eBike ecosystem applications to its team in Iasi.
In this role, you will be part of a colocated team which implements the core applications for e-bike production and maintenance systems. The work is focused on creating an application that enables factories around the globe to produce e-bikes in the most efficient a trace-able way and also an application for dealers and retailers to maintain and service the bikes.

This will be a dynamic environment, where you have the chance to participate throughout the complete software development lifecycle, including the design and architectural decisions, and to focus on software quality through peer reviews, refactoring, continuous integration and deployment.
You will be part of our dedicated team in Iasi and will connect with software engineers and leaders from our client.

Requirements

10+ years of professional experience in the software industry, including 3+ years in engineering or delivery management roles.
Project management experience in software development projects.
Proven experience in people management.
Hands-on knowledge & experience in Agile (Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.) software development methodologies.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to communicate over a number of contacts from the client-side and streamlining requests from them into the distributed dev team.
Ability to coach the team, no matter their role or seniority level (technical, soft skills).
Good facilitation skills.
Get things done attitude.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Advanced level of written and spoken English.

Technical requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in a software development role
  • Hands-on know-how of C/C++ & OOP (or other programming languages)
  • Experience with QT/QML is a plus
  • Unix/Linux know-how is a plus
  • Passionate about writing clean code and following established best practices
  • Experience using Git, GitHub for source control.
  • Experience with manual and automation testing frameworks (design, extend frameworks, coach the team)
  • Understanding of the full software development lifecycle, including agile development and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Willingness to rapidly learn new technologies and advocate for emerging technologies that will enhance the existing environment
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented, analytical and possess strong problem-solving skills
  • Solid communications skills: ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences

Job responsibilities

  • Primary contact role with the client for the delivery items (timeline, milestones, delivery dates, risks)
  • Exercises full supervisory responsibility for all staff within the team (performance reviews, mentoring, hiring/onboarding, career development)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and ship new features
  • Take initiative, engineering and delivery processes best practices in terms of SDLC
  • Perform requirements analysis & understanding – help the customer refine the requirements to make sure everyone agrees with what needs to be implemented (Development Team, QA Team & Customer)
  • Contribute to Agile Scrum ceremonies: backlog refinement, effort assessment, retrospective
  • Supports the team in software design and architecture related decisions
  • Help the team to contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
  • Contribute to the software development process improvements
