Description
Our Customer is one of the biggest companies on the market of home entertainment consumer electronics devices that strives to provide their clients with high-quality products and services.
Project goals include automation testing of the video and audio content and other services available via digital media players using a custom test automation framework.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Python development and solid Python programming skills;
- Experience writing, debugging, and maintaining production-quality Python code;
Good understanding of Python fundamentals, OOP, data structures, exceptions, and common Python development practices; - Ability to understand an existing codebase and independently develop and extend it;
- Basic understanding of software testing and test automation concepts;
- Experience with automated testing or test frameworks is a strong advantage;
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills;
- Experience working in Scrum/Agile environments;
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills;
- Highly motivated, proactive, and comfortable switching between different tasks.
Nice to Have
Experience developing or maintaining automated test frameworks;
Experience with pytest, unittest, or similar Python testing frameworks;
Knowledge of test design techniques and software testing lifecycle;
Understanding of test automation patterns and principles, including Page Object Model (POM);
Previous experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or Software Developer working closely with testing activities.
Job responsibilities
- Developing, maintaining, and Python-based automation solutions;
- Writing clean, reliable, and maintainable Python code;
- Working with an existing automation framework and infrastructure;
- Developing new and improving existing automation scripts;
- Debugging code and investigating technical issues;
- Participating in code reviews and following established coding standards;
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation;
- Collaborating with international teams across the US and UK;
- Performing some manual testing activities — approximately 20% of the work.
