Description
We are seeking a dynamic, meticulous Software Test Engineer to join the R&D Shared Services team. This candidate will play a role in ensuring that Enterprise products are thoroughly tested before they are released to customers. The responsibility of this position is to provide support to the QA team with the creation, maintenance and testing of virtualized test environments.
Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATION
- 1-2 years of experience in creating and executing manual and automated test scripts.
- Working experience using automated testing frameworks.
- Working knowledge of running automation tests in a cloud-based infrastructure, On-Prem or hybrid test environment.
- Knowledge of Agile development lifecycle methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATION
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field.
- Certification in one of the Cloud environments such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
- Experience working and maintaining cloud computing on platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
- Experience in designing, building and managing cloud-based infrastructures and on-prem virtualized test environments.
- Experience using deployment software.
- Knowledge of computer networking.
Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with Engineers and Product Owners in the design, deployment and testing of cloud-based infrastructures.
- Manage the use of cloud deployed infrastructures.
- Managerial and administrative responsibilities for on-prem Virtualized environments.
- Installing operating systems, service packs and adhering to security and compliance guidelines.
- Troubleshoot operational and performance issues.
- Work closely with QA engineers to remove issues in test environments.
- Report and track issues with engineering to identify root cause.
- Actively participate as a member of a scrum team.
