Our customer is a private, family-owned company, founded by scientists and dedicated to providing the world’s highest quality, innovative research and diagnostic products to accelerate biological understanding and enable personalized medicine. Our employees operate worldwide from our U.S. headquarters in Massachusetts, and our offices in the Netherlands, China, and Japan.

Salary: from €3,000 gross per month. The final salary will reflect your skills and experience.

Requirements

  • Possess 5-8 years of progressive, hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer, demonstrating a strong track record in managing complex cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines within an enterprise setting.
  • This role operates under a hybrid work model, requiring a blend of on-site collaboration and remote work to foster team synergy and operational efficiency.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated advanced expertise in AWS cloud services, including architecture, deployment, and management of highly available and scalable solutions.
  • Proven proficiency in orchestrating containerized applications using Kubernetes, including cluster management, deployment strategies, and service mesh integration.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Docker for containerization, encompassing image creation, optimization, and lifecycle management in production environments.
  • Advanced capability in implementing and managing comprehensive monitoring solutions to ensure system health, performance, and proactive incident detection.
  • Strong practical experience configuring and maintaining nginx as a reverse proxy, load balancer, and web server for high-traffic applications.
  • Expert-level command of GitHub for version control, collaborative development workflows, and integrating with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid understanding and practical application of CloudFlare services for web performance, security, and DNS management.
  • Mandatory experience with ArgoCD for declarative GitOps continuous delivery, managing application deployments and lifecycle.
  • Proficient in leveraging Content Delivery Networks (CDN) to optimize content delivery, reduce latency, and enhance user experience globally.

Preferred Skills:

  • Possess an intermediate understanding and practical experience with Elastic Search for logging, analytics, and full-text search capabilities.
  • Strong capability in designing and implementing advanced monitoring and observability strategies to gain deep insights into system behavior and performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and manage cloud cost optimization strategies, ensuring efficient resource utilization and financial accountability.

Job responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions primarily on AWS, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
  • Lead the development and optimization of CI/CD pipelines using tools like ArgoCD and GitHub, automating deployment processes for various applications.
  • Architect and manage container orchestration platforms, specifically Kubernetes and Docker, to ensure efficient application deployment and scaling.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive monitoring and observability frameworks, leveraging advanced monitoring tools and Elastic Search to proactively identify and resolve system issues.
  • Configure and manage Nginx and CDN solutions to optimize application performance, security, and content delivery across global regions.
  • Drive the implementation of security best practices within the DevOps lifecycle, safeguarding critical patient data and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate new features and services into the existing infrastructure, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
  • Evaluate and introduce new technologies and tools to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of the cloud environment.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of system performance and resource utilization, implementing strategies for cost management and operational efficiency within AWS.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using appropriate tools to ensure consistent, repeatable, and version-controlled infrastructure deployments.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for complex infrastructure and application issues, minimizing downtime and impact on services.
  • Contribute to the architectural roadmap for cloud infrastructure, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives and technological advancements.
