Description
Our Customer is one of the biggest companies on the market of home entertainment consumer electronics devices that strives to provide their clients with high-quality products and services.
Project goals include testing various media apps with video and audio content, and other services available via digital media players and smart TVs; providing testing results to the Customer for decision-making; and working with media app certifications.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance.
- Strong hands-on Manual QA experience.
- Experience leading or coordinating a QA team.
- Experience setting up or improving QA processes.
- Strong ability to gather, analyze, clarify and document requirements.
- Experience working with distributed/international teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Upper-Intermediate English or higher.
- Ability to take ownership, make decisions and drive things to completion.
- Good understanding of Agile or iterative software development practices.
Job responsibilities
- Perform hands-on manual testing of media applications and services across Smart TVs and digital media devices.
- Test video and audio content, playback and other key media functionality.
- Perform channel/application testing and prepare testing results for clients and partners.
- Participate in daily, planning and coordination meetings across several teams.
- Act as a key communication point between the client and the QA teams.
- Gather, analyze and clarify requirements, identify gaps and translate them into clear testing activities.
- Coordinate QA activities and distribute tasks across a distributed team.
- Monitor testing progress, help remove blockers and make sure activities are completed on time.
- Run automated test suites regularly and analyze their results, working closely with automation engineers.
- Contribute to improving QA processes, testing approaches and team practices.
- Take ownership of quality-related activities and drive them through to completion.
