We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Penetration Tester to join our cybersecurity team. In this role, you will perform in-depth security assessments on wired and wireless communication interfaces used in FOTA (Firmware Over-the-Air) update systems. You will help identify potential vulnerabilities, simulate real-world attack scenarios, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the security of automotive systems.

• Strong experience with penetration testing methodologies (OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, PTES).
• Proficiency with network protocols and analysis tools (Wireshark, Scapy, Burp Suite, CANoe).
• Familiarity with automotive communication technologies (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UDS, DoIP).
• Knowledge of wireless protocols (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, LTE) and associated security risks.
• Understanding of FOTA architecture, security layers, and update mechanisms.
• Experience with threat modeling, fuzz testing, and exploit development.
• Familiarity with automotive regulatory standards (ISO 21434, UNECE WP.29, or similar).
• Programming/scripting skills (Python, C/C++, Bash) are a plus.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in penetration testing or embedded system security (automotive experience preferred).

• Perform penetration testing on wired (CAN, Ethernet) and wireless (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE) interfaces in FOTA systems.
• Analyze system architecture and communication flows to identify potential attack surfaces.
• Simulate cyberattacks and intrusion attempts to evaluate system resilience.
• Conduct threat modeling, fuzz testing, and risk assessments on FOTA-related components.
• Reverse-engineer communication protocols or firmware to uncover vulnerabilities.
• Develop and execute custom scripts/tools to automate exploits or simulate malicious behavior.
• Document vulnerabilities with detailed proof-of-concept (PoC), severity ratings, and mitigation recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define and validate security requirements during development.
• Support compliance with automotive cybersecurity standards (ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE WP.29 R155).
• Participate in security reviews, audits, and technical workshops with internal and external stakeholders.
