Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Devops Engineer with deep expertise in Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) to lead the design, development, and deployment of automated health check playbooks across customer network elements (NEs) spanning CORE, IP, Transmission (TRA), and RAN domains. This role involves working in a Kubernetes-hosted AAP environment, establishing secure connectivity with network devices, and delivering health check use cases integrated into AAP workflows.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Automation & Platform:
Expert in Ansible and Ansible Playbook development

Hands-on experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)

Strong understanding of Kubernetes (K8s) as it relates to AAP hosting

Networking:
Familiarity with network domains: CORE, IP, RAN, Transmission

Experience with Network Elements (NEs) and interfacing via SSH, REST, SOAP/XML

Solid understanding of network security, firewalls, and whitelisting processes

Programming & Tools:
Proficient in YAML, Bash, and optionally Python

Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git)

Familiarity with API tools like Postman, curl, etc.

DevOps & CI/CD:
Exposure to CI/CD practices for deploying playbooks and AAP configurations

Knowledge of tools like Jenkins, Red Hat Insights, ELK, etc. is a plus

Key Responsibilities:
Establish and validate secure connectivity between AAP and target Network Elements (NEs) in lab and production environments.

Coordinate with customer teams to manage and follow up on firewall/whitelisting requests.

Design and develop Ansible playbooks to perform automated health checks on NEs using appropriate interfaces (SSH, REST/SOAP/XML APIs).

Implement AAP features like Instance Groups, Execution Environments, Container Groups, and other platform components.

Maintain source code and configuration in Git or similar version control systems.

Conduct unit, component, and system testing for playbooks and AAP jobs.

Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, create user stories, and document design specifications.

 

 

Provide technical guidance on AAP configuration, playbook design, and network automation best practices.
