We are seeking a Director of Engineering with deep Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain knowledge to lead our delivery and engineering teams for client-facing solutions. The role combines technical leadership, client engagement, and domain expertise to ensure high-quality, scalable, and innovative solutions.

  • Job Overview:
    We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Director with 15+ years of proven expertise in leading large-scale IT services projects and managing large teams. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in executing Time & Material (T&M) and Fixed Price (FP) projects, with extensive experience managing financials, overseeing 4-5 clients simultaneously, and cultivating strong relationships with UK/US-based clients. In this leadership role, you will oversee teams of 100-150 professionals, collaborate directly with VP-level and above client stakeholders, and drive the overall success and efficiency of complex projects. Your deep understanding of AI/GenAI will be critical in optimizing project delivery.

Qualifications:
Experience: 15+ years in IT services, with at least 8+ years in leadership roles, managing teams of 100-150 professionals.
Project Management: Extensive experience executing T&M and FP projects with full financial management
Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile, ITIL) are a plus.
Global Experience: Significant experience working with international clients, particularly in the UK/US.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery Experience: Bring hands-on experience managing complex fixed-price transformation projects, ensuring scope, quality, and timelines are met.
  • Technology Exposure: Drive projects that leverage cloud technologies, automation, AI, ML, and GenAI to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a large team (100–150 professionals), fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture where autonomy and excellence thrive.
  • Client Management: Manage 4–5 strategic client accounts, building trust with senior stakeholders and ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Financial Oversight: Take ownership of project budgets, forecasts, cost management, and billing across both fixed-price and T&M engagements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with senior client leaders (VP level and above) to ensure project outcomes align with business goals.
  • Project Delivery: Oversee large-scale, complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget while meeting quality expectations.
  • Innovation & Technology Leadership: Champion the use of emerging technologies like AI and GenAI to improve delivery, efficiency, and client outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with senior leadership, sales, finance, operations, and HR to ensure smooth execution and alignment across teams.
  • Business Growth: Support business development by identifying new opportunities and driving innovation within the organization.
  • Risk Management: Spot potential project risks early and put mitigation plans in place to maintain quality and timelines.
  • Client Satisfaction: Act as the main point of contact for client issues, ensuring concerns are addressed quickly and effectively.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing workflows, resource usage, and team productivity.
  • Talent Development: Mentor and coach team leaders, supporting career growth and skill development across the organization.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Share clear, actionable updates with senior management on project performance, risks, and key metrics.
  • Thought Leadership: Lead internal initiatives on the latest trends in technology, project management, and client delivery approaches.
