The IT Development team you will be joining develops applications for the IBM Power System (formerly called iSeries & AS400).
The IBM Power development team is currently comprised of 2 Product Owners, 6 Developers, 3 System Testers, and 1 Delivery Manager.
We use a combination of the Scrum and Kanban development methodologies.

Required Experience and Skills
Excellent knowledge of IBM Power platform – at least 2 years of experience.
Excellent programming and systems design skills in CA/2E (formerly called Synon 2) and CL – at
least 2 years of experience.
Programming skills in RPG/ILE which is occasionally used.
Focus on quality – good track record of successful projects.
Proven estimating skills
Experience of working in an Agile environment – at least 2 years of experience.
Good understanding of common technologies such as Internet applications, relational databases,
browsers etc.
Ability to communicate effectively at technical and business levels, negotiation skills.
Thorough and accurate with good attention to detail
Able to work effectively and to tight deadlines.

職務内容

Working on various projects as dictated by project requirements, the role will include:
Working with the team to translate Requirements presented by the Product Owners into technical solutions.
Where necessary, to analyze existing code and propose a technical approach to solve the requirement, ahead of programming. ( A ‘Spike’ task )
Production of programming and unit testing estimates
Working with the other Development teams in the department to design solutions requiring integration with the IBM Power platform
Programming and unit testing.
The team use a combination of the Scrum and Kanban agile development methodologies so you will be required to participate in the standard ceremonies with the team ; daily stand up meeting; planning; show and tell development review; and so on.
