Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Solution Architect with a deep specialization in backend systems and extensive knowledge of the IT Service Management (ITSM) domain. In this role, you will be a key leader, responsible for defining the technical vision, strategy, and architecture for our ITSM platforms. You will work to ensure our systems are scalable, secure, reliable, and aligned with our overall business goals. This is a crucial position for a technically proficient and forward-thinking individual who can translate business needs into robust, innovative architectural solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and define the backend architecture for our enterprise-level ITSM applications and services.
• Develop and maintain the technical roadmap and a long-term strategy for our ITSM platform, ensuring it supports current and future business needs.
• Provide architectural oversight and governance for all backend systems within the ITSM landscape, ensuring adherence to best practices, standards, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineering teams, and key stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural designs.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and platforms to enhance our ITSM capabilities and improve efficiency.
• Lead the technical design and integration efforts for complex projects, including system migrations, third-party integrations, and platform upgrades.
• Mentor and guide development teams on architectural patterns, coding standards, and system design principles.
• Identify and mitigate architectural risks and technical debt to ensure the long-term health of our systems.
Required Qualifications:
Technical Expertise (Backend)
• 14+ years of progressive experience in backend software engineering and architecture.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing complex, high-scale systems using modern architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture).
• Expertise in backend languages and frameworks, with a strong focus on Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS and its services, as well as other major cloud platforms (Azure, GCP).
• Proven experience with database design and management (both SQL and NoSQL databases).
• Solid understanding of APIs (REST, GraphQL), message queues, and other integration patterns.
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.
• Experience working with Low Code Platform.
• Extensive experience in Kafka, Multi-tenancy, OpenID Connect, Flowable, Form.io, Postgres, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm Charts.
Domain Expertise (ITSM)
• Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect within the IT Service Management domain.
• In-depth understanding of ITSM processes and best practices, including ITIL, ITAM, and CMDB.
• Hands-on experience with major ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or BMC Remedy.
• Knowledge of how to architect solutions for incident management, problem management, change management, and service catalog.
Preferred Qualifications
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ITIL, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or TOGAF).
• Experience with AI/ML integration within ITSM workflows.
• Familiarity with other enterprise domains (e.g., CRM, ERP, HRIS).
• A portfolio or examples of past architectural work and technical roadmaps.
