About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient Technical Product Owner with a strong background in the telecom domain to lead the development and delivery of innovative network and service-oriented products. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, architecture, operations, and business stakeholders to define product requirements, prioritize backlogs, and ensure seamless delivery of high-impact telecom solutions. Your technical acumen and telecom industry experience will be essential in driving product excellence and aligning technology with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the voice of the customer and business for telecom network and service delivery products.
Define, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
Collaborate with engineering, QA, and solution architects to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
Translate telecom business requirements into clear technical user stories and acceptance criteria.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Evaluate and manage product performance and KPIs related to telecom platforms or services (e.g., OSS/BSS, 5G, Billing orchestration).
Interface with stakeholders across product, network engineering, and IT teams to gather input and provide product updates.
Support release planning and product roadmap development with a focus on scalability, reliability, and future technology trends in telecom.
Stay up to date on telecom industry standards, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
What You Bring
Experience:
7+ years of experience in a Product Owner or Technical Business Analyst role.
3+ years of hands-on experience in the telecommunications domain (Billing, Promotion, OSS/BSS, etc.).
Experienced working on Amdocs Billing systems
Experience working with Agile development teams and managing backlogs in tools like Jira, confluence, Azure DevOps,
Proven track record of delivering complex technical solutions in a telecom environment.
Familiarity with Billing & Promotions protocols, and standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile certification.
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Understanding of APIs, microservices architecture, and integration strategies.
Familiarity with telecom service lifecycle management.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to translate complex technical requirements into business-friendly language.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proactive mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
Effective prioritization and decision-making under pressure.
Collaborative, team-oriented attitude with a focus on delivering value.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Agile certifications (e.g., CSPO, SAFe POPM, PMI-ACP) preferred.
Master’s degree or telecom-specific certifications (e.g., TM Forum, MEF) are an advantage.
