Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Pentester to join an exciting project with a globally recognized automotive OEM. In this role, you will focus on the infotainment domain, working closely with a prebuilt in‑car application that currently functions but lacks comprehensive documentation, clear ownership, and formal compliance validation. With known issues and opportunities for architectural improvement, this position offers a unique chance to shape the future of a key in‑car experience.

You will be responsible for defining and executing tasks to thoroughly document, assess, and enhance the target application — ensuring it meets organizational workflows, industry compliance standards, and long‑term deployment strategies.

This role requires the ability to work from Sweden for an extended period, with an expected return to Poland afterward.

Requirements

  • Ability to work from Sweden for an extended period, with an expected return to Poland afterward.
  • Experience with hardware interfaces like UART, JTAG, and SPI for firmware extraction.
  • 5+ years in Cybersecurity, with at least 2 years specifically in the Automotive or IoT domain.
  • Experience with Fuzzing tools (e.g., Peach Fuzzer, AFL) targeting embedded systems.
  • Background in Secure Boot, TEE (Trusted Execution Environments), and cryptographic implementations.
  • Operating Systems : Deep expertise in Embedded Linux, Android Automotive OS (AAOS), or QNX.
  • Automotive Protocols : Proficiency with CAN bus, UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services), and Automotive Ethernet.
  • Wireless Security : Hands-on experience attacking Bluetooth/BLE, Wi-Fi,.
  • Hardware Hacking

Job responsibilities

  • Offensive Security Testing: Perform deep-dive penetration tests on IVI hardware and software, focusing on entry points like USB ports, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular modules.
  • Vulnerability Research: Discover and exploit vulnerabilities in IVI applications, web browsers, media players, and OS kernels.
  • Communication Protocol Analysis: Test the security of the gateway between the infotainment system and the vehicle’s internal networks (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and DoIP).
  • Firmware & App Analysis: Conduct reverse engineering of firmware images and perform security assessments of in-car applications (Android based).
  • Automated Testing: Design and execute fuzzing campaigns against various interfaces (Bluetooth stacks, Wi-Fi drivers, and USB file parsers) to find zero-day crashes.
  • Reporting & Remediation: Document findings in high-quality technical reports and collaborate with engineering teams to provide actionable mitigation strategies.
