Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • More than 2 years of experience as a System, Integration or DevOps Engineer in a senior role placing emphasis on operations support, design, and implementation.
  • Proven expertise in managing and maintaining Azure and AWS cloud resources, including virtual machines, storage, databases, and networking components, with hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure technologies.
  • Extensive knowledge of provisioning, configuring, and optimizing cloud infrastructure for security, availability, scalability, platform provisioning, uptime, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required for effective collaboration with global teams, clear articulation of technical solutions, and providing leadership in cloud systems management and optimization.
  • Understanding of Azure cost management and optimization, including usage analysis and leveraging Azure Advisor recommendations. Hands-on experience managing AWS S3 buckets, ensuring secure and compliant data management.
  • Experience migrating on-premises solutions to cloud-based offerings while ensuring seamless functionality.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, providing L3 support, mentoring L2 teams, and resolving complex infrastructure issues.
  • Familiarity with VMware, including assessing and migrating on-premises VMware to Azure.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond to major incidents, participate in conference calls, and support critical IT processes.
  • Experience with databases, ETL, Data Lakes, and Data warehouses.
  • Automation experience using tools like Salt, Puppet, Ansible, or SCCM, and scripting for automation and infrastructure management.
  • Experience troubleshooting network configurations with multiple subnets and VLANs.
  • Technical expertise in Windows and Linux systems management.
  • Familiarity with cloud services like MongoDB, Confluent, and Snowflake, ensuring connectivity and optimal resource utilization preferred.
  • Familiarity with enterprise network storage solutions (i.e. NetApp) for efficient and reliable operations preferred.

Job responsibilities

  • The scope of responsibilities will include strategic design, implementation, capacity and performance of Cloud environments.
  • With supervision, is responsible for the creative and continuous improvement of the design, installation, operation, and management of on-prem and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Support the development life cycle of platform architectural design, deployment and debugging.
  • Building a release pipeline to enable fast, but safe delivery of critical business software to Production.
  • Develop & Maintain sound version control best practices based CM systems (GIT), including branching and merging strategies.
  • Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies. Participate in all team ceremonies including planning, grooming, product demonstration and team retrospectives.
  • Ability to automate release deployments across development, test, staging, Quality Assurance and production stacks using a combination of scripting languages and other automation toolkits.
  • Set-up up new sites and applications via configuration management such as Puppet and Ansible.
  • Maintain / upgrade / patch tracking and documentation software (Confluence / Jira).
  • Assist in design and maintenance web service infrastructure and deployments.
  • Analyze service stack and make recommendations for further improvements.
  • Identify processes and capabilities that can be streamlined and automated.
  • Handles L3 escalations from Scrum resources.
  • Participate in projects and guide the activities of others, specifically DevOps resources and 3rd parties, related to projects and problem resolution.
  • Following the established change policy, including documenting changes, creating installation and back-out checklists, educating others that may be impacted by changes in advance, and looking for ways to improve the process.
  • Participates in providing after-hours, weekend, and holiday escalated support as required
