Requirements

We are seeking a Data Center Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a highly knowledgeable professional with a deep understanding of data center operations, infrastructure, and technology. This role is critical for defining and building software solutions that address the unique challenges and business needs of our data center clients.

Required Qualifications:

  • Deep Domain Expertise: Extensive knowledge of data center operations, including day-to-day workflows, critical business drivers, and key performance metrics.
  • Technical and Operational Acumen: Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and physical security aspects. Understanding of data center capacity planning aspects, such as energy consumption, cooling and physical space, etc.
  • Software Solutioning: Proven experience in defining and building software products for the data center segment, including generating detailed technical requirements, knowledge of existing software solutions in the segment.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, from technical teams to C-suite executives (CTOs, CIOs).
  • Business Insight: Ability to translate customer business drivers into tangible software product features and solutions that deliver measurable value.
  • Network Operations: Familiarity with data center network operations, including common protocols, security best practices, and performance management.
  • Energy Management (Plus): A strong understanding of data center energy consumption, efficiency, and sustainability initiatives is a significant advantage.

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guides the development and implementation of the strategic roadmap for data center software solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide leadership and act as the go-to expert for data center-related software development and integration needs.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders and partners to define and prioritize software development initiatives that drive business outcomes and meet customer needs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for data center software solution strategy, providing leadership and expert insights.
  • Contribute to definition of effective risk management strategies and help mitigate potential challenges associated with data center projects.
  • Drive continuous solutions improvement initiatives for ongoing projects through innovation and efficiency gains.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to data center operations, security, and data privacy.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to data center infrastructure and software solutions.
