Requirements

We are looking for a skilled Database Developer with strong experience in SQL development, database engineering, and automation. The role involves designing and optimizing database solutions, developing stored procedures, managing database deployments, and supporting data migration activities.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience with Oracle and Snowflake databases, along with exposure to DevOps practices, database automation, and environment management.

Key Responsibilities
Core Development

• Develop and maintain SQL scripts and database objects in Oracle and Snowflake environments.
• Design and implement Snowflake stored procedures, views, and database functions.
• Perform database schema design and ensure data models are scalable and efficient.
• Optimize SQL queries and database performance tuning to improve system performance.
• Support data migration and transformation activities across environments.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and reliability in database operations.

Database Engineering / DevOps

• Manage database code using GitLab version control and follow best practices for source control.
• Implement Database-as-Code practices to manage schema changes and database configurations.
• Support database release and deployment processes across PROD and NON-PROD environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams for database deployment automation.
• Maintain and manage database environments, ensuring stability and availability.

Automation & Scripting

• Develop Linux Bash scripts for database operations and automation tasks.
• Automate database maintenance, monitoring, and administrative tasks.
• Implement cron jobs for scheduled database processes and batch jobs.
• Improve operational efficiency by developing automation for routine database tasks.

Job responsibilities

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in SQL development with Oracle and Snowflake.
• Experience in Snowflake stored procedures and database development.
• Knowledge of database schema design and data modeling.
• Strong experience in query performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience with GitLab or similar version control systems.
• Knowledge of Database-as-Code concepts and database release management.
• Experience with Linux Bash scripting and automation.
• Experience managing database environments (PROD / NON-PROD).
