Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded C++ Developer with a specialized focus on Linux-based media systems. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance software for next-generation media devices, ranging from smart streaming hardware to digital signal processing units.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of low-level systems programming, real-time media streaming protocols, and the intricacies of the Linux kernel.

Requirements

Language Expert-level Modern C++ (Standard Library, RAII, Templates) and C.
OS Environment Strong Embedded Linux expertise (Kernel space, User space, D-Bus, systemd).
Media Domain Deep knowledge of Codecs (H.264/H.265, AV1) and Audio/Video synchronization.
Frameworks Hands-on experience with GStreamer plugins and pipeline construction.
Architecture Experience with ARM-based SoC architectures (e.g., Broadcom, Qualcomm, NXP).
Connectivity Familiarity with HDMI, HDCP, and wireless streaming standards.

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Software Development: Design and implement robust, maintainable, and high-performance embedded software using C++14/17/20.

Linux Systems Programming: Develop multithreaded applications, middleware, and drivers within an Embedded Linux environment (Yocto/Buildroot).

Media Frameworks: Integrate and optimize media pipelines using frameworks such as GStreamer, FFmpeg, or OpenMAX.

Streaming Protocols: Implement and debug media transport protocols including RTP/RTSP, HLS, DASH, and WebRTC.

Hardware Abstraction: Work closely with hardware teams to develop Board Support Packages (BSP) and optimize GPU/VPU hardware acceleration.

Performance Tuning: Profile system performance (CPU, memory, and latency) using tools like Valgrind, gdb, and Perf to ensure seamless 4K/8K video playback.
