As a IT Support Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless operation of IT and OT systems within a high-tech production environment. You’ll be the go-to expert for maintaining critical IT infrastructure on the shop floor — from installing and configuring hardware and software to optimizing network performance and ensuring cybersecurity compliance.

Working closely with central IT and local production teams across multiple sites, you will be instrumental in driving digital transformation initiatives, solving complex technical issues, and enhancing operational efficiency.

GlobalLogic Germany is inviting IT Support Specialist to join its Kaufering office.

The customer is one of the biggest manufacturers of tools for the construction of enterprises and requires a “specialist in IT support for production»

Requirements

– Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (System Integration or Digital Networking), or equivalent practical experience

– Proven experience supporting IT systems (particularly Microsoft environments), ideally in a production or industrial setting

– Strong understanding of IT networks, hardware, and system security

– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on service mindset

– Willingness to travel up to 10% within the DACH region

– Very good knowledge of German (C1) and good knowledge of English

Job responsibilities

· Installation, configuration and support of production-related IT hardware and software as well as individual network components, taking into account internal IT standards and IT security guidelines

· Conducting error analyses using diagnostic systems and resolving IT-related disruptions in production or forwarding disruptions to other internal/external expert teams

· Continuous processing of incidents in the Incident Management System

· Maintain accurate records of all assets and configurations in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)

· Creation and maintenance of technical documentation and/or training materials

· Train shopfloor staff on the correct and secure use of systems and applications

· Participation in the implementation or coordination of local IT projects (e.g. updates, network changes, software or hardware changes)

· Technical advice and coordination of network changes, e.g. for the integration of production facilities
