Responsibilities:
Define and own the end-to-end architecture for enterprise-grade Java applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives, scalability, and security requirements.
Lead the design and development of microservices-based, cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
Evaluate and select appropriate design patterns, frameworks, and architectural strategies that promote modularity, reusability, and performance.
Conduct technical assessments, code reviews, and proof-of-concepts (PoCs) to validate architectural decisions and implementation approaches.
Guide the modernization of legacy Java systems and oversee their transformation into modern, scalable platforms.
Collaborate with DevOps and cloud engineering teams to support CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and automated deployment pipelines.
Define API strategies including RESTful service design, API versioning, and gateway management.
Champion non-functional requirements such as performance, availability, observability, and maintainability.
Support capacity planning, performance tuning, and disaster recovery strategies in partnership with infrastructure teams.
Mentor and coach developers and technical leads to instill architectural best practices and ensure consistency in implementation.
Stay current with emerging trends in Java ecosystem, enterprise architecture, and cloud computing, and evaluate them for potential adoption.
Participate in RFPs, solutioning, and pre-sales technical discussions, if required by business context.

Requirements

Technical Architect – Java/J2EE
We are looking for an accomplished and forward-thinking Java Technical Architect to drive the architectural vision, design, and development of scalable, high-performing enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Java/J2EE technologies, microservices architecture, cloud-native development, and enterprise integration patterns.
As a Java Technical Architect, you will play a key role in shaping the technical roadmap, mentoring engineering teams, conducting design reviews, and ensuring adherence to best practices in software design, performance, security, and scalability. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across product, engineering, DevOps, and security to deliver robust and future-ready technology solutions.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
12+ years of software development experience, including at least 3–5 years in a Java architecture or technical leadership role.
Deep expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data).
Strong understanding of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker), and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
Proficient in RESTful API design, API management tools (Apigee, Kong, AWS API Gateway), and JSON/XML data handling.
Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including native services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, Cloud Functions, etc.
Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, or Redis.
Hands-on experience with build tools (Maven, Gradle), version control systems (Git), and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD).
Experience with enterprise integration patterns, event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and service meshes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to troubleshoot complex systems in production environments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
