– Validated experience as an Oracle DBA with hands-on experience in Exadata and RAC.

– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

– Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical collaborators.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in Oracle DBA roles.

3+ years of MySQL DBA experience.

Proven experience with OCI and Exadata Cloud Service migrations.

Strong understanding of RPO/RTO, disaster recovery planning, and replication strategies.

Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools (OEM, MySQL Workbench, Datadog, etc.).

Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Job responsibilities

Oracle DBA Duties:

Lead end-to-end migration of Oracle databases to Exadata Cloud Service on OCI.

Design and implement low-downtime migration strategies using RMAN, Data Pump, GoldenGate, and Data Guard.

Perform performance tuning, SQL optimization, AWR/ASH analysis, and proactive issue resolution.

Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, backups, patching, cloning, and DR environments.

Work closely with SRE/DevOps/Application teams for production support and incident handling.

MySQL DBA Duties:

Administer MySQL databases in production (on-premise/cloud including AWS).

Set up and monitor replication (master-slave, group replication) and HA solutions.

Perform query performance tuning, schema design assistance, and slow query analysis.

Implement backup/restore strategies using mysqldump, Percona XtraBackup, and point-in-time recovery.

Ensure MySQL security, patching, and version upgrades.
