Product Owner – Digital Banking

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead the development of digital banking products with a focus on features like account opening and loan origination. You will translate user and business needs into clear, actionable requirements, manage a prioritized backlog, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, integrated solutions. Ideal candidates have a strong background in financial services, agile methodologies, and a deep understanding of user experience and technical integration.

Position Summary
We are seeking experienced Product Owners to help deliver on our product objectives and roadmaps. Product Owners are responsible for delivering product outcomes and functionality that meet customer and user needs. They translate product vision and insights into prioritized features and user stories, developed by their agile team of 8–10 members.

Job responsibilities

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Lead efforts to define product functions, integration requirements, user experiences, and deployment strategies for internal and external delivery.
  • Develop, shape, and refine user stories, problem statements, and acceptance criteria to ensure clarity and effective team execution.
  • Collaborate with the broader product organization to ensure seamless integration across all digital banking technology products.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure solutions meet requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Support sprint planning and incremental delivery by driving understanding of development priorities and dependencies.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, daily stand-ups, and demos.
  • Maintain functional quality by clearly defining and evaluating expectations and acceptance criteria.
  • Present and train internal stakeholders on newly released platform features and services.
  • Prepare user-facing documentation for both existing and new platform functionality.
  • Document business requirements using approved tools and methodologies.
  • Product P&L and Pricing
    Collaborate with the Product Manager to monitor product performance and profitability, ensuring alignment with strategic and tactical objectives.
  • Product Strategy, Vision, and Planning
    Gather customer insights and market data to inform product strategy and vision.
  • Translate vision and research into clear, prioritized product features and a well-structured backlog.
  • Customer Experience Research, Insights, and Execution
    Develop a deep understanding of customers through tools such as personas, journey maps, and product charters to guide product development.
  • Product Design and Development
    Participate in PI (Program Increment) planning to help prioritize the product roadmap and inform team backlogs.
  • Write, prioritize, and refine user stories based on business value, user needs, and technical feasibility.
  • Continuously manage and reprioritize the backlog, balancing value and effort.
  • Define acceptance criteria and validate that deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Lead product development in close collaboration with cross-functional teams and proactively manage dependencies and stakeholder communication.
