Description

We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO Consultant with 7+ years of hands-on experience in Financial Accounting (FI), Tax configuration, and General Ledger (GL). The consultant will be responsible for end-to-end SAP FICO implementations, enhancements, and production support, working closely with business stakeholders to deliver scalable financial solutions.

We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO Consultant with 7+ years of hands-on experience in Financial Accounting (FI), Tax configuration, and General Ledger (GL). The consultant will be responsible for end-to-end SAP FICO implementations, enhancements, and production support, working closely with business stakeholders to deliver scalable financial solutions.

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
1. SAP Financial Accounting (FI)
Lead end-to-end SAP FI implementations (Blueprint, Realization, Testing, Go-Live, Support)
Configure and support General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA)
Design and implement New GL Accounting, document splitting, parallel accounting
Manage period-end and year-end closing activities
Ensure accurate financial postings and compliance with accounting standards
Handle intercompany accounting and reconciliation

2. General Ledger (GL) and Journal Entry (JE) – Hands-On
Configure Chart of Accounts, GL master data, posting keys
Set up document types, number ranges, fiscal year variants
Implement parallel ledgers and multiple currencies
Perform financial reconciliation and reporting
Support balance sheet & P&L reporting
Choose the Correct Transaction Code, Depending on the requirement.
Enter Credit / Debit Line Item
Check Balance
Tax Handling
Journal Entries

3. Taxation & Compliance
Configure tax codes, tax procedures, and tax determination
Handle GST / VAT / Sales & Use Tax / Withholding Tax (TDS) based on regional requirements
Ensure statutory compliance and accurate tax reporting
Support tax postings, reconciliation, and audit requirements
Work with business and legal teams for tax-related changes

4. Integration & Cross-Functional Coordination
Integrate SAP FICO with MM (Procure-to-Pay) and SD (Order-to-Cash)
Coordinate with CO (Controlling) team for cost center, profit center postings
Work closely with ABAP team for reports, enhancements, and interfaces
Support interfaces, IDocs, and third-party financial systems

5. Reporting & Data Migration
Develop and support financial reports using standard SAP reports
Support data migration (GL balances, open items, asset data)
Validate financial data post-migration
Assist in UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution

6. Support, Enhancements & Leadership
Provide L2/L3 production support for SAP FICO issues
Perform root cause analysis and permanent fixes
Mentor junior consultants and review configurations
Prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, and SOPs
Act as a finance process advisor to business users
Required Skills & Experience
Mandatory

7+ years of SAP FICO experience with strong hands-on exposure
Deep expertise in FI-GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting
Strong experience in Tax configuration and calculations
End-to-end implementation and support experience
Strong understanding of finance & accounting concepts

 

Good to Have
SAP S/4HANA Finance experience
Exposure to New GL, Document Splitting
Knowledge of Fiori financial apps
Experience in multi-company, multi-currency environments
SAP Certification in FICO / S/4HANA Finance
