Description

GlobalLogic looking for an enthusiastic Java Developer who is interested in moving into a Product Support Engineer role.  In this role, you will apply your Java development expertise to assist with support, resolve issues and product enhancement. You will collaborate with various teams, including development, business, and customer support, to ensure a positive user experience and address any technical challenges

Requirements

  • Either a Bachelor’s or Masters’s degree in Computer Science plus 2-4 years of experience in the Web and/or ECMS technologies space
  • 2+ years of experience in Java Development
  • Strong knowledge of web technologies, particularly JAVA/J2EE (e.g., coding, garbage collection tuning, heap dump & thread dump analysis), and JavaScript.
  • Expertise in Content Management Systems (CMS) and website architecture.
  • Proficiency in HTML, DHTML, CSS, XML, AJAX, JQuery, Apache, and IIS.
  • Working knowledge of various operating systems, including Windows, UNIX, LINUX, and Solaris.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, in English
  • Must be flexible to work from office in 24/7 shifts

Job responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Use Java development skills to diagnose and resolve product-related issues reported by customers.
  • Provide ongoing support for customers, ensuring seamless product functionality and assisting with technical challenges.
  • Work with development, engineering, and product management teams to provide insights into product performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage and resolve technical incidents, ensuring issues are addressed within the agreed timelines.
  • Communicate with customers regarding product issues, updates, and new feature rollouts in a clear, professional manner.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, issues, and solutions in accordance with company standards for future
