Description

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with a technical background in embedded software development projects to work with the largest manufacturer and distributor of household appliances in Europe and one of the leading in the world. You will be responsible for bringing next-generation home appliances to the market. Close cooperation with Team in Germany with occasional business trips.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience as a Project Manager in the IT sector
  • At least 2 years of working experience in a PM position in Embedded projects
  • Ability to work with tools supporting teamwork
  • Well understanding of the software development lifecycle and Scrum/Agile methodology
  • Ability to acquire knowledge quickly
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build good relationships with the team and the customer
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to take responsibility for the tasks’ realization and high-quality assurance
  • Effective communication skills (related to both task realization and progress reporting)
  • Fulfilling commitments and willingness to show initiative
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)
  • Higher Education in the fields of information technologies or project management

Job responsibilities

Project planning:
• Clarification of the scope and boundaries of the project development
• Define a project schedule for the project development in alignment with the system project
• Perform the resource planning, effort estimation, invest, costs in collaboration with Development Team in the Customer’s tools
• Plan the module integration of the functionality and/or electronic module based on samples, including integration, test, and release plan
• Define part price targets, supported by Purchasing Department
• Support system project manager by the project application
• Set up the project in the Customer’s tools and systems

Project control and assessment:
• Control the module project management in line with Customer’s electronic development process workflow
• Moderate the regular project meeting
• Involvement of all support (e.g. configuration manager, requirements, architecture, quality management, purchasing…) and specialty (e.g. reliability, safety, security…) activities needed within the project
• Control the part price, project expenses, on schedule, and on technical impact
• Perform the change management according to the Customer’s electronic development process
• Moderate and track the milestone evaluation and release workflow in Customer’s tools
• Create work products for the milestones.
• Acts as interface to System Project Manager, and other Module Leads involved in the system project
• Escalate project deviations and high risks via the system project manager

Design and Implementation:
• Track the delivery of the requirements for the individual electronic in time
• Drive the definition of the technical solutions which covers the needed complexity by re-usable electronic components and electronic modules as much as possible

•Track and control the implementation and test of functionality

• Support the system integration of functionality and/or electronic module up to a complete integrated system
• Drive the documentation of solution/module in the Customer’s tools
• Organize and ensure the delivery of the samples, pilot series and start-of-production in time
• Organize and ensure the delivery of software as aligned with the internal customer
• Drive the qualification of the Hardware and Software
• Drive approval and release of module in the Customer’s tools

Risk management and decision-making on module level:
• Perform risk management including documentation in the risk app, development and tracking of mitigation measures.
• Perform Focus analyses
• Ensure technical risk assessment and documentation (FMEA)
• Perform decision making, within given and approved frame
• Preparation of presentations for the decision board (with defined templates)

Project management on module level:
• Coordination of the technical interfaces to the supplier
• Drive the distribution of the RFQ or other documented request for supply
• Provision of needed technical information to supplier
• Evaluate supplier response to the RFQ – ensure the solution meets module needs and requirements and complies with industry and other standards
• Support Purchasing Department to select the preferred supplier based on acquisition criteria
• Establish delivery acceptance criteria
• Track and control implementation of functionality provided by supplier
• Track and control the part price, external costs and the invest
• Establish traceability that stakeholder can easily determine the status and disposition of the supplier’s progress
