Description

• Design and simulate state of the art 5G wireless communication systems for high data rate applications in the presence of interference.
• Develop new features in 5G based system level simulator based on MATLAB and NVIDIA Sionna.
• Conduct and extract performance from System Level Simulations of 5G NR.
• Evaluate Cell Planning and Channel Modelling using ATOLL, Remcom Wireless InSite.
• Design system level test cases for new features. Drive feature bring-up and issue resolution.
• Develop algorithms for scheduling, interference mitigation, handovers and test in system level simulations. Develop and execute link level simulations whenever necessary.

Requirements

• Experience in system level modeling with MATLAB and Sionna.
• Experience Cell Planning and Channel Modelling using ATOLL, Remcom Wireless InSite, or Sionna Ray Tracing.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Tensorflow, TensorRT, ONNX, Python, along with version control tools such as Git.
• Ability to work in distributed/remote teams.
• Familiarity with Linux.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

 

GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed in Remote is $150,000to-$160,000, and reflects base salary only. This pay range is provided as a good faith estimate and the amount offered may be higher or lower. GlobalLogic takes many factors into consideration in making an offer, including candidate qualifications, work experience, operational needs, travel and onsite requirements, internal peer equity, prevailing wage, responsibilities, and other market and business considerations.

Job responsibilities

• Present at status meetings and design reviews.
• Document and record design and testing results.
• Strong understanding of cellular wireless communications systems and protocols including non-access stratum and access stratum protocols, PDU, MAC, PHY layers of 5G, LTE based technologies.
• Wireless system engineering experience in system level simulations and link level simulations for PHY/MAC layer modeling and design, e.g. physical layer algorithm development, link level systems modeling and MAC protocol development/simulation.
• Must have knowledge of 3GPP 5G NR and CBRS systems.
• Knowledge of wireless technologies and standards (including 5G-NR, LTE and their implications on RF/PHY/MAC.
