Description

  • Define and own the product roadmap for developer CLI tools, ensuring alignment
  • Collect and prioritize CLI requirements from developers and other key collaborators.
  • Drive the iterative CLI feature design with the UX team to achieve future goals and deliver outstanding developer experiences.
  • Translate technical and user needs into detailed CLI design specifications and user stories.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams in agile sprints to ship high-quality CLI features and improvements.
  • Ensure CLI tools adhere to standard methodologies for usability, reliability, and cross-platform support (Linux, macOS, and Windows).

Requirements

  • Conduct CLI user research, usability testing, and usage analytics to inform product decisions.
  • Collaborate with the governance team to support CLI standard methodologies and educate users.
  • Own performance metrics such as CLI adoption, error rates, and usage patterns.
  • Define requirements for enabling CLI commands for easy CI/CD integration.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in developer tools, infrastructure, or SaaS platforms.

Job responsibilities

  • Experience with Git, CI/CD systems, or cloud infrastructure is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, able to collaborate with technical and non-technical collaborators effectively.
  • Demonstrated success shipping technical products with measurable impact.
  • Strong technical background with familiarity in command-line environments, scripting, and developer workflows.
  • Passion for developer experience, usability, and open-source ecosystems.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and experience in fast-paced, dynamic work settings.
  • Problem-solving skills to quickly rectify any issues with the product.
  • Autonomous and comfortable juggling multiple, overlapping, and, at times, competing work priorities.
  • Bachelor’s or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

 

GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed remotely and the salary range will be $140,000/yr to $150,000/yr and reflects base salary only. This pay range is provided as a good faith estimate, and the amount offered may be higher or lower. GlobalLogic takes many factors into consideration in making an offer, including candidate qualifications, work experience, operational needs, travel and onsite requirements, internal peer equity, prevailing wage, responsibilities, and other market and business considerations.
