Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Nutanix Infrastructure Consultant to lead a strategic migration project for a major financial services client. The primary objective of this role is to serve as a subject matter expert (SME) during the critical evaluation phase of transitioning the client’s current VMware-based virtual environment to a Nutanix Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI).

The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between architectural planning and hands-on execution. You will be responsible for validating the Nutanix solution against the client’s specific performance and compliance requirements, developing a robust migration strategy, and—pending a successful evaluation—overseeing the technical implementation and workload migration.

Requirements

Certifications: Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or Nutanix Certified Advanced Professional (NCAP) is highly preferred. VCP (VMware Certified Professional) is a significant plus.

Experience: Proven track record of at least 5 years in virtualization, with specific experience in VMware-to-Nutanix migrations.

Tools: Expert-level proficiency with Nutanix Prism, AHV, and Nutanix Move.

Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking and the ability to communicate complex technical shifts to stakeholders.

Job responsibilities

Feasibility Analysis: Assess the client’s current VMware footprint to determine resource requirements, sizing, and licensing needs for a Nutanix environment.

Proof of Concept (PoC): Lead the PoC process to demonstrate the value and performance of Nutanix AHV (or ESXi on Nutanix) versus the legacy environment.

Architecture Design: Design a scalable, resilient Nutanix cluster architecture that aligns with the client’s business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR) objectives.

Gap Analysis: Identify potential technical hurdles or application dependencies that may impact the migration process.
