Description

The candidate that will succeed in this position will be able to create all the testing and automation frameworks as required for their projects. Both Manual Test, Test Automation Scripts and QA implementation of findings and recommendations from a Data Pipeline Rebuild across additional suitable Domains within a Client Databricks Lakehouse environment. The person must be capable to do quick manual checks (eg. null checks, it means „is_valid_from null etc) and also have to write automation scripts to check correctness of the data against key parameters.

In addition, QA engineering documentation prior to handover.

Requirements

Design, implement, and execute test cases

Evaluate testing process, make recommendations as necessary

Commercial experience with unit testing and data quality frameworks such as Pytest, Soda Core

Strong manual testing capabilities and the ability to write test automation scripts

Strong Python and shell scripting (Bash) skills

Exposure to testing in data engineering projects is a significant plus

Testing on Azure cloud platform

Commercial and scalable track record as a QA Engineer

Able to work as part of a team, collaborative and able to work on initiative and to project timescales
