We are looking for a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and backend data platforms. This role focuses on working with large-scale data systems, batch and streaming data processing, and modern data stack technologies to support analytics, reporting, and data-driven products.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Python, Spark, and SQL
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and Apache Flink
• Experience with Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools
• Solid understanding of ETL / ELT architectures and data system design
• Experience with data modeling, schema design, and data governance principles
• Hands-on exposure to Big Data technologies, including:
• Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, Flink
• Metastore, Presto, Kafka
• Experience performing data analysis, ingestion, and integration
• Familiarity with modern data stack tools such as dbt, Delta Lake, Hive, Hadoop
• Experience working with AWS services
• Passion for and curiosity about Big Data technologies

Job responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Python, Spark, and SQL
• Build and optimize batch and streaming data processing systems using Apache Spark and Apache Flink
• Develop and manage ETL / ELT workflows using Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools
• Perform data ingestion, integration, and transformation from multiple data sources
• Design and maintain data models, schemas, and metadata aligned with data governance standards
• Work with modern data stack tools such as dbt, Delta Lake, Hive, Hadoop
• Optimize SQL queries and data storage for performance and scalability
• Collaborate with backend engineers, data analysts, and product teams to understand data requirements
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and consistency across pipelines
• Deploy and operate data systems on AWS cloud infrastructure
