Connected Biking – Our client is building a pioneering connected biking platform that is already supporting a new generation of digital products and services, ultimately defining the future of the biking industry.

Product Portfolio

The Digital Business department drives the B2C and B2B digital strategy:

• B2C: Products include the eBike Flow app (Android/iOS) and various web portals designed for cyclists.
• B2B: Development of web portals and foundational frameworks essential for cooperation with partners (OEMs and IBDs).

Project Execution

• Work is conducted in distributed, interdisciplinary agile teams that maintain End-to-End (E2E) responsibility for their services and features.
• Horizontal enablement teams exist to ensure high quality and efficient delivery, therefore several teams provide specialized support. The DevOps team serves as a crucial horizontal enabler across all product teams. They focus on providing the automation, infrastructure, and standardized tools necessary to enable continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and reliable operation of all services.
• External team members operate on a pull-principle basis.

Requirements

We are searching for an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on Kubernetes, AWS, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD development.

• Cloud infrastructure components: expertise in managing and provisioning cloud services, specifically AWS.
• Containerization & orchestration: proficiency in Kubernetes and developing/maintaining Helm charts.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): experience with creating and maintaining Terraform modules.
• Security focus: knowledge of or ability to implement a zero-trust security model for cloud services.
• CI/CD pipeline development: experience extending and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, including support for different architectures.
• Observability: experience implementing and replacing modern Cloud observability systems (e.g., monitoring, logging, tracing tools).

Job responsibilities

The primary responsibilities for this role involve the development, maintenance, extension, and implementation of core cloud infrastructure and deployment tools:

• Maintain the internal Helm chart used for deploying cloud applications to Kubernetes clusters.
• Extend the existing Helm chart to enforce and support a zero-trust approach for access to cloud services.
• Develop and extend CI/CD pipelines to ensure compatibility and support for different architectures.
• Implement a new, comprehensive Cloud observability system to effectively replace the current one.
• Create and maintain Terraform modules to provision and manage foundational AWS cloud services, including ElastiCache, RDS, CloudFront.
